How should I serve different content based on user location?

Showing content based on the IP address is dangerous. Since most (or all) Google IP addresses are US located, you will hide your non us-english content.

As Matt says it doesn't have to be cloaking, in fact it is.
It's much better to create all the different language pages and redirect the visitor to the right language based on the IP address he is using.

Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Google does not use the keywords meta tag in web ranking

Recently we received some questions about how Google uses (or more accurately, doesn't use) the "keywords" meta tag in ranking web search results. Suppose you have two website owners, Alice and Bob. Alice runs a company called AliceCo and Bob runs BobCo. One day while looking at Bob's site, Alice notices that Bob has copied some of the words that she uses in her "keywords" meta tag. Even more interesting, Bob has added the words "AliceCo" to his "keywords" meta tag. Should Alice be concerned?

At least for Google's web search results currently (September 2009), the answer is no. Google doesn't use the "keywords" meta tag in our web search ranking. This video explains more, or see the questions below.

Q: Does Google ever use the "keywords" meta tag in its web search ranking?

Is this news? NO.

Google has stopped using meta keywords years ago.

Use a good page title for better results and write great meta description to get a better CTR in google search results (the description is the only meta tag which is used in Google search)

Why is a mortgage site Google? Hijjack or mistake?

Great Google gets a new copy!
This happens because the own of the domain "ghlplc.co.uk" has created an A records which resolves to the IP address from google.co.uk. The funny part is that the Googlebot has index google's pages on a third party domain ;)

Canonical links for bbpress SEO tools

Just to be sure that no (future) links generated by bbpress will create duplicated content / pages in Google, we decided to add canonical link functionality to the SEO tools plugin.
Since this plugin allow Google to index only the topic pages (and the frontpage) we will add this information only to those pages (otherwise it was much easier to add).

How-to update?
Just copy / replace the old with the new file.
